DUU Responsibilities

To direct the Executive Committee in establishing and maintaining communication with other campus organizations
To direct and implement strategic initiatives of the Executive Committee
To serve as a nonvoting member on all Union committees
To serve as a student liaison to the relevant staff-run services of the Office of Student Affairs.
To act as presiding officer of the Board in the absence of the President and to succeed to that office in the event that the President is unable to fulfill his/her term
To aid and advise the President of the Duke University Union Board

Honor Council Responsibilities

To chair the Honor Council and direct the council regarding strategic initiatives and projects
Represent the Honor Council by serving as a student voice on honor related issues and Duke Community Standard

Background

Adam Hinnant is the 2009-2010 executive vice president of DUU and 2009-2010 Chair of the Honor Council. Adam is from North Carolina and is currently majoring in economics and statistics. Adam has been involved with the Union since freshman year and is in love with Duke and DUU!! Additionally, Adam serves as a member of the Undergraduate Conduct Board.
