2008-2009 Board of Trustee Application (click here)
Are you interested in representing all Duke Undergraduates on the Duke Board of Trustees? If selected, you will serve as a full voting member of your respective committee. The committees are:
- Business and Finance
- Buildings and Grounds
- Faculty, Graduate & Professional Schools Affairs
- Institutional Advancement
- Medical Center Affairs
- Undergraduate Affairs
Application Details (due April 11 at 5PM)
You may only apply for up to two committees. If you are applying for two, you must fill out two separate applications and sign up for interviews for both committees.
In order to be considered for a position on the committee, please follow these instructions:
- Fill out the application in its entirety.
- Return the application to the DSG Office, no later than 5 PM on FRIDAY, APRIL 11.
- When you return your application, you must sign up for an interview with the current undergraduate members of that committee. If you are applying for two committees, please sign up for an interview with each committee.

Descriptions of Committees
Faculty, Graduate & Professional Schools Affairs
Monitors and makes recommendations with respect to all faculty, graduate and professional school affairs at the University.
Undergraduate Affairs
Monitors and makes recommendations with respect to all student affairs at the University other than programs of research and instruction.
Business and Finance
Mostly concerned with financing of campus projects and initiatives, as well as the maintenance of the Duke Endowment.
Buildings and Grounds
Examines and approves plans for upcoming construction projects around campus, including buildings and necessary infrastructure.
Medical Center Affairs
Concerned with issues relating to the Duke Medical Center and its interaction with the University.
Institutional Advancement
Primarily concerned with Duke’s role in the broader context of American education. Deals with issues relating to public and governmental relations.
