Purpose

This committee oversees a budget provided by the Dean of Residence Life and Housing Services with the sole purpose to give students the ability to directly make improvements to their residence hall environment. The committee works to make direct capital improvements to the residential community and the surrounding grounds.

Campus residents are strongly encouraged to voice their opinion in what amenities they feel would be a worthy addition in the residence halls. Last year, the Facilities and Services Committee supported a variety of project such as:

• Purchased new furniture for the Kilgo patio
• Assisted in purchasing additional furniture for McClendon Walkway
• Implemented the new Media Centers for West Quads
• Created a dedicated student Study and Common Space on Central Campus
