DSG's SOFC Annual Budgeting 2009-2010

The annual budget for the 2009-2010 school year can be found by clicking here.

The SOFC annual budget outlines funding allocations for Undergraduate Student Organizations at Duke University. Please peruse the Annual Budget not only if you are a member of or leader of a student organization, but also if you are curious as to how your Student Activities Fee is being spent.

DSG New Gender-Neutral Constitution

The new gender–neutral Constitution makes several important changes to the recently-passed DSG Constitution. This new version details all the important benefits of the recently passed Constitution, but also includes gender-neutral language to reflect a DSG and student body that is not entirely composed of males as was the case when the women and men at Duke were kept at separate campuses.

Examples of changes include:

  • “incriminate himself” changed to “self-incriminate”
  • “chairman” to “chairperson”
  • “he” to “the president”

The recently-passed constitution can be viewed here.

The proposed gender-neutral Constitution can be viewed here.
