[edit] FAQ

[edit] How do I get involved?

All of the organizations on this website are run by undergraduate students at Duke University. They depend on passionate committed people to help make the Duke experience better for everyone. They set policies which allow students to tent in K-ville, hold last day of classes festivities, run the coffeehouse and find course evaluations. They make sure that student groups have the money they need to put on events and that student publications are not continually re-invented and competing for the same audience.

In short, these organizations give students at Duke an unprecedented amount of self-determination. But everything that they do depends on students choosing to give up their hard-won free time.

[edit] How do I start a student group?

It's actually relatively easy to start a student organization at Duke. The process primarily involves knowing what you want your organization to do and how you want it to do that. Duke's student governance structure is set up to accomodate every conceivable kind of organization, from the Orchestra to the Humour Magazine.
