Jazz Directors organize the weekly Jazz concert series at the Mary Lou Williams center on Wednesday evenings. This role consists of organizing musicians to play each week, advertisement around campus, communication with students with questions, set up and clean up, and working with the center to provide food and drinks. Another aspect of the job is creative planning for special events such as themed evenings like the Latin American Jazz night that we had last fall. Also, the directors lead weekly committee meetings to plan for upcoming Wednesdays and special events.
