Biography

Mike Lefevre is a junior from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is majoring in Public Policy Studies with a certificate in Energy and the Environment. His interests include boating and trains. After graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in the railroad or marine transport industries.

Mike joined Duke Student Government in 2007 as a freshman senator on the Athletics and Campus Services Committee. During his time as a senator, he planned the creation of Le Marché, an outdoor café on East Campus, and the Lilly Library Pavilion. As Vice President for Athletics and Campus Services in 2008, he started the dining pilot program to enable first-year students to use their missed-breakfast equivalency in the Great Hall, and created the guest parking pass for students' visitors. He currently serves on the Duke Transportation Advisory Committee and is the alternate for the Board of Trustees Committee for Facilities and the Environment. Additionally, he is a proud member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.
