Orcun Unlu is the Cable 13 President of the Duke University Union.
Responsibilities
Background
Orcun Unlu is a senior this year and he has been involved with Cable 13 for three years. He has developed a long-term plan for Cable 13, thereby revamping the student TV station at Duke. He became Vice President of the organization in his Sophomore year and has been leading the station as Cable 13 President since April 2006.
Under his leadership the TV station has gone through a major breakthrough by starting to broadcast blockbuster movies, fostering student TV production, developing news and sports reporting as well as televising preseason Basketball games. Cable 13 has become one of the biggest organizations on campus with one of the largest student participation. Its logo and website are recognized by most students at Duke.
Orcun Unlu is from Istanbul, Turkey. He is a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and Co-President of The Duke Entrepreneur. He has worked for The Chronicle and rowed in his first year. He is double majoring in Political Science and Economics as well as pursuing a Certificate in Markets and Management.
